Switching to Plastic Strapping

More companies are converting from steel strapping to polyester strapping. Polyester strap is 50% of the cost of steel strapping and it also provides the added bonuses of improved safety, productivity and pack presentation.

Products such as lumber will not get stained or marred from the steel strapping. With polyester strapping there is less product damage. Polyester strapping will not lose its tension and has elastic properties, resulting in tighter and more secure packages.

There is more footage per coil in polyester strapping, providing savings in storage and machine downtime. It is also easier to dispose and eliminates injuries caused by sharp strap edges.
